Staff Bios


Kathy

Kathy moved from Washington DC, where she worked for many years in communications and hospitality, to St. James City in 2007. She began her career in senior healthcare at Gulf Coast Village as a Senior Living Counselor and later served as its Director of Sales. Kathy is an active member of CAMEO and volunteers to assist seniors, many with dementia related illnesses, with a local respite care program. In her spare time, she likes to boat with her husband Billy, read, and relax with her 2 cats, Mr. Peppers and Stinker. Kathy assists the attorney as a Life Care Coordinator. She is a resource for families and a support person for caregivers. She assists clients with finding and advocating for good care for their loved ones.


Kelly

Kelly was born in Fayetteville, NC, but moved to Ft. Myers at 3 months of age. She has a love of learning and is a former kindergarten teacher with a BS in Education, a minor in Interdisciplinary Studies, and an AA in Paralegal Studies. Kelly began coursework to obtain a master’s degree in Counseling before deciding to take a break from school. She has 2 adult daughters who are married to wonderful men, and 2 fabulous grandsons she gets to visit weekly. This third generation Floridian is a huge Florida State fan and when she’s not flaunting her garnet and gold, she spends a fair amount of her spare time trying to convince her rescue dog that she is the pack leader. She is a Florida Registered Paralegal and assists the attorney with Guardianship, Probate and Trust Administration cases.


Kristen

Kristen was born and raised in Ft. Myers. She graduated with her BA degree in Business Management with a focus in Human Resources from FGCU in 2013. She and her middle school sweetheart have been married since 2012 and have 2 young sons, Will and Emmett, 3 fur children, Bella, Colt and Sawyer, and their feathered friend, Mama Duck! In her free time, Kristen enjoys working with her husband to refurbish an old school bus into a RV. She does administrative work for a local nonprofit and small businesses. She assists the attorney with bookkeeping.


Laurie

Laurie was born and raised in Ohio and has lived within 30 miles of her hometown of Wadsworth until she moved to Florida in 2016. She moved to Cape Coral with her boyfriend, 4 dogs and 3 cats, to enjoy warmer weather and a more relaxing lifestyle. Her passion is to help people, and at the end of the day, know that she helped to make a difference. Her first career was as a Registered X-Ray Technician where she worked as the supervisor of the CT Scanning department, always trying to work one more patient onto the schedule. After taking several years off to raise her three sons, she returned to the workforce in the education field as Director of Career Services, teaching career development and assisting students and graduates with their job search. Now, she finds herself learning a new career field working as a Legal Assistant, working with attorneys, clients and the court system. Laurie will always be a Buckeye, and loves to watch the Indians, OSU Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns, whenever she can.


Cooper

Cooper was rescued as a puppy from a parking lot and adopted by his mom Kelly. Since being adopted, he has been spreading joy and a bit of mischief around the halls of the law firm. He loves to jump, play, eat and wipe his fur on the business attire of any human he can find. In fact, leaving fur on dry clean only clothing is his specialty. Cooper is the law firm’s Director of Happiness.
